Breakfast at 7:00, departing from Dunhuang to Jiayuguan, passing through Guazhou on the way, seeing the legendary 'Son of the Earth', the mirage-themed sculpture 'Boundless', and the statue of Emperor Wu of Han, Liu Che. After nearly five hours, we arrived at the 'First and Greatest Pass Under Heaven'—Jiayuguan, overlooking the tragic and desolate ancient battlefield, feeling the bitterness and helplessness of 'How many people have returned from ancient battles'... In the afternoon, after another three-hour drive, we arrived at Zhangye and toured the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park. Zhangye Danxia is the most typical Danxia landform developed in the arid regions of northern China. It is the only highly composite area of Danxia landform and colorful hills in China, with bright colors, strong ornamental value, large area, and a combination of grandeur, danger, peculiarity, seclusion, and beauty.
