Detian Transnational Waterfall

The implementation of the Guangxi Border Sea National Scenic Road has connected ancient towns and new cities, border mountain villages, green fields and blue hills, and azure seas and silver sands with high-quality road networks. Detian Transnational Waterfall is a scenic spot on the China-Vietnam border, the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest in the world, located in Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo City. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Pingxiang City to Detian Transnational Waterfall. Along the way, Mantou Mountain and Wotou Mountain are lush and towering, surrounded by fertile paddy fields, with asphalt roads winding through the green fields. The weather is pleasant, making it a mesmerizing journey. I thought Detian Transnational Waterfall was an off-the-beaten-path spot, but when I arrived at the scenic area, I saw the parking lot that could accommodate hundreds of cars filled with vehicles from all over the country. There is a distance from the scenic area's main gate to the waterfall, which can be covered on foot, by shuttle bus, or by bamboo raft upstream on the Guichun River. We chose to take a bamboo raft to approach the waterfall from the water for photography. The spring water is blue, and the bamboo raft moves slowly. The left bank is Vietnam, and the right bank is China. Far from the years of war, the sun is warm, the mountains are still, the wind is gentle, and the scenery is peaceful. Both China and Vietnam have bamboo rafts, but there are noticeably fewer tourists on the Vietnamese side. Detian Waterfall is on the Guichun River, with the Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam running parallel to it. Detian Waterfall has water all year round, with a width of over 100 meters, falling in three stages with a total drop of nearly 70 meters. According to the introduction, the average annual flow of Detian Waterfall is 50 cubic meters per second, three times that of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is the dry season, and due to the upstream power station's water storage and release, the waterfall is divided into several streams and does not form a continuous curtain. Detian Waterfall can be viewed from different angles, backed by green mountains, and complemented by Vietnamese sandbars and fields, offering a viewing experience superior to that of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Taking the flying carpet (just a conveyor belt) up the mountain offers a panoramic view of Detian Waterfall, or you can walk over the glass walkway on the cliff with ease or trepidation, and then slide down the marble slide wearing sliding pants and braking gloves, which is also a great experience. Clear streams look back in praise of spring, The waterfall crosses nations, singing day and night. Peaceful banks, beautiful moonlight, Mountains and waters enchant the visitors.
