The former residence of Wei Changhui faces south and is a brick and wood structure. It has two floors, left and right wing rooms, a horizontal house, a gate tower, and a moon pool in front of the house. It covers an area of 330 square meters. Before the Jintian Uprising, 12 iron furnaces were set up in Wei's horizontal house to make weapons, which were secretly hidden in the Rhinoceros Pool. Geese were raised in the moon pool, and the "giggling" sound of the geese was used to cover up the sound of weapons, confusing people. After the Jintian Uprising, the Taiping Army went north, and more than 200 houses in the village were burned down by the Qing army. In 1974, the site of the former residence was cleaned up, and a batch of iron slag, charcoal, and furnace bottom burnt soil and relics were unearthed, and the site of the former residence was protected. In 1987, the former residence was restored to its original appearance. The existing former residence of Wei Changhui is a part of Wei Changhui's former residence restored in 1986. It is a small courtyard with two entrances and three openings. It faces southwest to northeast, and the plane is rectangular. The building area is 317 square meters. The entire building is a one-story bungalow. There is a five-bay corridor on the left and right sides, and a patio in the middle. It is all brick and wood structure, with a hard mountain top, small blue tile roof, and ordinary brick and gray ridge. The entire building is small and simple, with the characteristics of the traditional Zhuang-style residence. National key cultural relics protection unit.
