In Guiyang, we unexpectedly came across the "Wusheng Gate" which was built in the Ming Dynasty.

In Guiyang, we originally went to Wenchang Pavilion, but we unexpectedly came across the "Wusheng Gate" site, which was also built in the Ming Dynasty. It turns out that Wenchang Pavilion is adjacent to the old east gate, also known as Wusheng Gate, which is currently under renovation and not open to the public. Wusheng Gate is an important ancient site of Guiyang Mansion in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in the 15th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1382) and is now a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Guiyang. As the last remaining Ming city wall relic in ancient Guiyang, the Wusheng Gate site (commonly known as the old east gate) is located at the northwest corner of Zhongshan East Road and Wenchang North Road in Guiyang. There were five city gates in Guiyang's history, namely Wusheng Gate, Chaojing Gate, Shengquan Gate, Rouyuan Gate, and Dehua Gate. After thousands of years of baptism, only Wusheng Gate has been rebuilt among the "old five gates". The site is a historical witness of Guiyang. Although the current Wusheng Gate is a restoration and reconstruction, it still retains some old stones.
