Climbing Mount Takao!!

The area around Mount Takao was designated as Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park in 1967. It preserves a rich natural environment, including forests of warm and temperate zones, centuries-old cedars, various plants, wild birds, and flying squirrels. Just an hour from the city center, it's a popular spot for leisurely hiking, attracting many climbers. Mount Takao offers several hiking courses, including six nature trails. The main 'Trail No. 1' features many attractions and gourmet spots, including Yakuoin Temple. With the use of a cable car or lift, you can easily climb even in casual wear. There are also plenty of restrooms, making it feel similar to walking in the city.
