As the first Courtyard by Marriott to enter Haifeng, it has undoubtedly become the best choice for leisure and business travel in Haifeng. As a Titanium member, I was lucky to be upgraded to the best room type, the Courtyard Suite, even though the hotel was almost fully booked. Considering the room rate and hotel facilities and services, the cost performance is also very high. The room is located on the fifteenth floor. According to the room distribution map, the suite is not located at the corner and should be the only suite on the entire floor. The room area is about 80 square meters, the living room is spacious and bright, equipped with L-shaped comfortable fabric, 55-inch Samsung Led wall-mounted TV, which also supports mobile phone projection function. Kenwood electric kettle, capsule coffee machine and full set of Chinese tea brewing are standard. Bama Platinum Spring is also provided in large quantities. Minibar has several regular carbonated drinks. Receiving red wine as an extra welcome gift at check-in was a pleasant surprise. The welcome gift for check-in is fruits and local snacks Sachima and sugar are not bad. The sockets in the room use the internationally universal British three-pin interface, and there are also Type C and USB interfaces. One-key total control switch, electric curtains and window screens are highlights. The layout of the washing space is comfortable, the wet and dry areas are reasonably divided, and there is also an oval bathtub. TOTO full set of bathroom fixtures are used. Checked in on the first day of the Lunar New Year, none of the restaurants passed by were open. The self-operated Western restaurant on the first floor of the hotel suspended business on New Year's Eve and the first day of the new year, and resumed business on the second day. The Wanying Feast on the second floor is a Chinese restaurant operated by the owner, not a self-operated restaurant of the hotel. It serves traditional Cantonese cuisine and local specialties, and is also suitable for hosting various large banquets. On the morning of the second day of the new year, the guests were still full. After all, there are not many shops that open in the new year. The third to sixth floors are almost all private rooms, which are not yet open to the public. The Wanhui Xuan all-day restaurant on the first floor serves buffet breakfast every day. The breakfast variety is not much, but there are Haifeng's unique millet and various kinds of cakes and other carbohydrate foods, which are much more delicious than the takeaways called on the first day. The gym is on the seventh floor of the hotel, open 24 hours, and guests can enter with a swipe of their card. The gym is not big, but the general fitness equipment is complete. This Courtyard does not have a swimming pool. Haifeng is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province, with mountains and sea, and is known as the 'land of fish and rice'. At the same time, Haifeng County is known as the 'Oriental Red City' that carries the glory of the revolution, the hometown of the 'King of the Peasant Movement' Peng Pai, the birthplace of the first red Soviet regime in China, and carries the glorious revolution of the revolutionary predecessors in history. There are red revolutionary relics all over the county. The Red Palace Red Square Memorial Hall is a must-see attraction. I wanted to go and see on the first day of the Lunar New Year, but it was closed. It opens on the second day, and you can register on site for free admission. There is a coffee shop nearby, which also opened on the second day, and the hand-brewed coffee is not bad.
