The most beautiful Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area

Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area, located at No. 1 Longjing Road, West Lake District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is divided into Lakeside Area, Lake Heart Area, North Mountain Area, South Mountain Area and Qiantang Area, with a total area of 59.04 square kilometers, of which the lake surface is 6.38 square kilometers, and the peripheral protection area is 35.64 square kilometers. In 1985, Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area was selected as one of the 'Top Ten Scenic Spots in the Country'. In 2006, Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area was included in the China World Cultural Heritage Preliminary List. In 2007, Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area was rated as 'National AAAAA Tourist Scenic Area'. The representative of Chinese studies, Li Shengjiao, left a famous poem 'Picking Mulberry·West Lake Four Songs' describing the beauty of Hangzhou West Lake in four seasons. On June 24, 2011, at the 35th World Heritage Conference held in Paris, France, Hangzhou West Lake Cultural Landscape was included in the 'World Heritage List'.
