Qiaoxi Straight Street is the most worthwhile shopping district in the northern area of Hangzhou

On the sixth day of the Chinese New Year, I visited this district on my last day in Hangzhou, but unfortunately, the weather was bad and it kept raining. Alternatively, you can take subway line 5 to the Grand Canal Station or Gongchen Bridge East. ⏳Visiting time: Half a day to a day 🗓Background: Qiaoxi Straight Street is a general term for the area west of Gongchen Bridge in Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The Qiaoxi historical and cultural district is more clearly defined, starting from the head of Gongchen Bridge and spreading out to the west, north to the China Fan Museum, south to Dengyun Road, and west to Xiaohe Road. The Qiaoxi area is a cluster of ancient buildings from the Jiangnan water towns and is now a characteristic district for traditional Chinese medicine. Today's Qiaoxi Straight Street has become the Qiaoxi Straight Street Historical District. Crossing over Gongchen Bridge from the Canal Square, you will find yourself on Qiaoxi Straight Street. The historical district is L-shaped and has preserved a complete set of late Qing and early Republican riverside residential buildings, as well as a large number of industrial relics from the near modern era. Compared to Xiaohe Straight Street, Qiaoxi Straight Street has a more commercial atmosphere.
