There is a poem that says: 'To compare the West Lake to Xi Shi, light or heavy makeup always suits her.' This poem is not only applicable to the West Lake, but also to all the landscapes and lakes in Hangzhou, which show completely different scenes and temperaments under the bright sun and the misty rain. Which style do you prefer more? During this trip to Hangzhou, I stayed at the Fuchun Mountain Residence Golf Resort and Xianghu Xiaoyao Manor, and overall, I was very satisfied. The privacy of Fuchun Mountain Residence is outstanding, secluded at the foot of the mountain, almost inaccessible to outsiders, with the best views overlooking the tea gardens, golf course, and lakeside paths. The activities are geared towards self-cultivation and family-friendliness, with a variety of options such as tea picking, scripture copying, boat trips, zoos, and tea cooking around a stove. The children's playground is not big, but the carousel is a highlight. It's worth mentioning that although there are few dining options, the performance is commendable. Random orders are all safe bets, especially the breakfast, which, in addition to the buffet, includes freshly made local snacks continuously brought to the table. The only issue is that the resort is quite old, and the soundproofing is not very good. It is recommended to stay in a suite or higher, as there are only one or two rooms per floor, greatly reducing the chance of being disturbed. Located next to Xianghu Lake, it is part of the scenic spot, so the landscape is excellent! However, the hotel's interior decoration is somewhat lacking in charm, especially some decorations (like the red and gold dragons) which seem out of place amidst the natural landscape. The room layout is extremely reasonable, one of the most sensible I've ever seen. The high-end suite has a completely private entrance, and the living room and bedroom are separated by doors, so there is no disturbance between sleeping children and entertaining adults. The specially designed prep area is very convenient, as washing fruits or baby bowls doesn't require using the bathroom sink. Since it's relatively new, the hotel caters better to families, with a large children's playground that is well-managed and clean. The activities are more adult-oriented, or suitable for older children, with mountain climbing, clay modeling, and imprinting, which are not suitable for us at the moment.
