Guanshan Mountain's Songyun Villa

Songyun Villa was originally a small building constructed by Yu Mantuo to care for his elderly mother. The name 'Songyun Villa' is related to an event in the early Republic of China when Li Yuanhong, serving as the provisional president, personally inscribed a plaque with the words 'Virtue Comparable to Pine and Bamboo' in recognition of the chastity of Yu's mother-in-law, Mrs. Dai, and his wife, Mrs. Lu, who both remained widows. In December 1937, when the Japanese army captured Fuyang, Yu's mother, Mrs. Lu, chose to starve herself to death rather than become a slave to the invaders. In 1952, Chen Bicen, the wife of martyr Yu Hua, donated the house to the state. After its restoration in 1985, it was converted into a historical exhibition room for Yu Hua and Yu Dafu, showcasing the brothers' life stories and related artifacts.
