🌿I didn't know you could get authentic Shaoxing cuisine in Hangzhou. Now I don't have to go back to Shaoxing to eat it. Good things are meant to be shared with friends. I invited my friends to this Shaoxing restaurant for a meal, and it took me back to the old Shaoxing with its strong aroma of wine. 🏠Restaurant: Yue Xiaoyu·Home Banquet·Shaoxing Cuisine (Dongzhan Dexin Center) 🔴Address: 2nd Floor, Building 8, Dexin Center, Yuanju Road (above Starbucks) 🈺Hours: 11:00-13:30 17:00-21:00 🚌Transportation: Take Subway Line 1 to Pengbu Station Exit B and walk 344 meters 🦐Cai Pu Head River Shrimp Soup: The clear soup base contains a large, fresh river shrimp. Paired with the freshness of the cai pu head, each bite is incredibly fresh. 🥩Dried Vegetable Stewed Pork: Selected farm pork is slow-cooked until the meat is tender. The salty aroma of dried vegetables deeply penetrates the meat. Eat it with lotus leaf cake for a lingering aftertaste. 🐢Soul-Stirring Soft-Shelled Turtle: A large pot with a strong aroma. It contains large pieces of soft-shelled turtle, which is full of collagen. The soup is rich but not greasy. It goes well with white rice. You'll want to eat three bowls. 🌶Chopped Pepper Steamed Double Stinky: A very authentic Shaoxing specialty. It mainly consists of stinky tofu + moldy amaranth stem + chopped pepper. The stinky flavors surprisingly harmonize with each other. It's so delicious that it's addictive. 🌶🧀
