Baoshi Mountain Scenic Area, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Baoshi Mountain is located on the north bank of Beili Lake in Xihu District, Hangzhou City. It is part of the West Lake Scenic Area, with an altitude of about 170 meters and a height of 78 meters. Baoshi Mountain is famous for its unique geographical features and rich cultural history. The mountain is mainly composed of rhyolite and tuff in igneous rocks, which contain iron oxide. Under the sunlight, it appears reddish-brown, like a colorful glow, shining brightly, hence the name "Baoshi Mountain." Standing on the top of Baoshi Mountain, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Broken Bridge of West Lake. The main attractions include Baoshu Pagoda: built in the early Northern Song Dynasty, it is now a solid brick and wood style, a landmark building of West Lake, and a national key cultural relic protection unit; Laifeng Pavilion: located on the top of Baoshi Mountain, there is an oval boulder called "Longevity Stone." Chuanzheng Cave: formed by huge rocks, there is a narrow path behind the cave, and there are huge footprints on the wall. Baopu Taoist Temple: built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it is a good place to experience Taoist culture in a quiet environment. At the foot of the mountain, there are cultural relics and historic sites such as the tomb of Sun Hua Weng, a poet of the Song Dynasty, and Buddhist statues of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
