On Sun Island

Sun Island is located on the north bank of the Songhua River in Harbin. It is one of the few river floodplain wetland grassland ecosystems situated in the center of a city in China. The island integrates European continental charm, rural scenery, Northeast folk customs, and ice and snow culture into a multifunctional scenic area. Traveling to Sun Island is convenient, as you can reach it directly by subway. The scenic area is large, and on that day, there was no entrance fee, allowing for free and enjoyable exploration.
