| Jianghuai land, long history. I drove 1.5 hours to the Anhui Provincial Museum specifically to see the genuine artifacts unearthed from the tomb of the Chu King in Shouxian County. I wandered around for more than three hours and only saw the exhibitions on the first and second floors. I had a meal in the cafeteria in between. The taste was average, but acceptable. I have been to many places in Anhui, but this is my first time to the provincial museum, to get a good understanding of the Jianghuai land. After seeing the exhibition, I really felt that there was more to see. I didn't expect this land to have such a deep cultural heritage. Just looking at the cultural relics of the Neolithic Age in Anhui on the first floor is already very attractive. 🌈 Shuangdun Site, more than 7300 years ago, is the earliest representative of the Neolithic culture discovered in the middle reaches of the Huai River in Anhui. There are a large number of carved symbols on the pottery unearthed here. They are rich in connotation, representational, meaningful, and highly indicative. Compared with oracle bone inscriptions, the appearance of Shuangdun symbols is nearly 4000 years earlier. 🌈 Lingjiatan Site, more than 5500 years ago. More than 1000 jade articles were unearthed, with a variety of types, beautiful shapes, and exquisite craftsmanship, which can be called the classic of prehistoric jade. 🌈 Xuejiagang Culture, the porous stone knife is the most representative artifact. 🌈 Weichi Temple Site, 4800-4300 years ago, is a complete and magnificent primitive settlement. The collections in the second floor exhibition hall are mainly bronzes. They are dazzling and eye-catching. The genuine artifacts that cannot be seen in Shouxian County are all here. What I am most interested in are the bronzes unearthed in southern Anhui, which have unique shapes and local characteristics, but their uses are still puzzling. I didn't really look at the third floor and above. The foundation of the Anhui Provincial Museum is quite solid, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.
