You can also ask the guide to sell you more; we asked for three more bottles at that time). If you want to see snow-capped mountains, it's best to plan your trip for November. We went during the National Day holiday, and there was only a thin layer of snow on the top of the Dagu Glacier. The guide said it wasn't worth spending extra money to take the cable car up to see that little bit of snow. November is the best time to see snow! (ps: To prevent altitude sickness, you can drink Rhodiola in advance, but it seems you need to start drinking it half a month early. We were quite spontaneous and didn't have time to drink it. On the way from Chengdu to Western Sichuan, we bought five bottles each at a service area. We didn't finish them, and only had altitude sickness on the first day.
