This is a temple with a religious atmosphere and is also the official residence of the Living Buddha. The top floor is the residence of the Living Buddha. It must be said that compared to the Dazhao Wuliang Temple across the street, this Xilitu Zhao has a stronger religious atmosphere and is more oppressive from the moment you enter. Xilitu Zhao is not only a religious building, it is a Gelug (Yellow Sect) temple. Historically, it was the place where the first Xilitu Living Buddha, the teacher of the fourth Dalai Lama, presided for a long time, hence the name "Xilitu Zhao". ⚠️Let's talk about what's worth seeing 1️⃣ The white marble pagoda, also known as the Longevity Buddha Pagoda. It is the most complete Lama pagoda in Inner Mongolia. It is made entirely of white stone carvings and is 15 meters high. You can go up and visit it. 2️⃣ There is also the "Monument to the Suppression of Galdan" bestowed by Emperor Kangxi in the temple, as well as monuments in various languages, which record the historical events of Emperor Kangxi's conquest of Galdan. 3️⃣ Ancient Buddha Hall There are Ming and Qing murals and two sets of dragon carvings that have not been restored. There is one more set of dragon carvings than in Dazhao. This dragon carving has no skeleton and is made of pulp and mud.
