I really love this outlying island that is so different from the bustling city center of Hong Kong. It feels like a secret haven hidden within the city🌳 A laid-back town filled with European flair It's hard to believe that this place⛴️ is just less than half an hour away by ferry from the bustling Central. ▫️ The first time I learned about this place was from watching 'Triumph in the Skies II'✈️ There are many expatriates living here, and the housing density is very low. Private cars are not allowed on the island🚗, but you can get to where you want to go by walking or public transport. During the day, find a lounge chair by the beach at Tai Pak Bay and daydream while looking at the sea🌊 At night, enjoy a drink🍻 and listen to music with the twinkling lights by the sea at Discovery Bay Plaza. Discovery Bay is the place to fully enjoy the slow life. ▫️ For a more enriching itinerary, you can also visit the North Plaza to see the clock tower and the white chapel.
