Central Landmark Historical and Cultural Site

The Old Central Police Station, built in 1864, is a three-story classical building. In 1920, another four-story building was completed, and a two-story armory was constructed at the northwest end. In 2005, the police force held a farewell ceremony and officially handed the Central Police Station back to the government. The original site, along with the nearby former Central Magistracy and Victoria Prison, which also have a long history, was developed into a historical and cultural tourism area, now known as 'Tai Kwun.' The entire area is filled with historical, cultural, and artistic vibes, with various tables and chairs available for visitors to use and information about the area's history. Additionally, markets or exhibitions are occasionally held, and the space is large enough to spend an entire afternoon exploring.
