High-Quality Modern Handmade Dim Sum

I've always loved eating Chinese dim sum, and recently, a new modern dim sum place has been getting a lot of attention. The dim sum is colorful and beautifully presented, so my friends and I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is called 'Dragon Dim Sum,' specializing in handmade modern dim sum. There are several branches across Hong Kong, and we visited the one on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai. The neon light decorations inside the restaurant are very eye-catching. It was a weekday dinner time, and the place was packed. Besides local customers, there were also many foreign tourists who came to try it. Dragon Dim Sum Platter $70 A must-try signature dish! The platter includes pickled fish dumplings, truffle wild mushroom dumplings, crab and spinach shrimp dumplings, bamboo shoot shrimp dumplings, salted egg yolk squid siu mai, and pea peach dumplings. Each one is exquisite, with both savory and sweet options. Deep-Fried Glutinous Dumplings $38 These deep-fried glutinous dumplings, one orange and one green, are skewered on bamboo sticks and look very attractive. Black Gold Custard Buns $40 The black gold custard buns are soft and not overly sweet, with a rich custard flavor. Bamboo Shoot Shrimp Dumplings $42 I particularly appreciate the shrimp dumplings here. The skin is thin yet resilient and not easy to break, truly high quality! Chicken Feet and Pork Rib Rice $58 The chicken feet and pork rib rice is well-executed. The pork ribs are not too fatty, and the portion is quite generous. Double-Boiled Pig Lung Soup with Almonds and Mustard Greens $52 The pig lungs are cleaned very well, and the soup includes plenty of mustard greens and lean meat, making it nourishing and smooth.
