Easy hike on beautiful Lamma Island!

Lamma Island felt like a different place entirely! It was the perfect contrast to the chaos of Hong Kong 🏙️ 🏝️ 🗓️Itinerary Scheduling: We were staying in Aberdeen so took the ferry from there to the fishing village of Sok Kwu Wan. It took about 40 mins and cost around HKD 12. Try to time it to have lunch at one of the many seafood 🦞 restaurants by the pier! After eating, we took the well-signposted 5km Lamma Island Family Walk trail to Yung Shue Wan. It took about an hour with plenty of stopping, and the path took us past the Kamikaze Cave as well as some small island villages. At times, the views were outstanding! We were tempted to stop for a while on the beach as we passed it, but continued on to Yung Shue Wan. Once there, we stopped for iced tea for a rest, explored the small town and got a passenger ferry back to Aberdeen from there (about HKD 24)⛴️ 💞Reasons to Recommend: The island is tranquil and laid back, it seems far removed from the city!
