Japanese desserts and drinks

With a vantage point of the Quarry Bay streets below, @koen_hk is a roomy, polished cafe that serves a hybrid of Japanese fusion cuisine 🇯🇵 We suggest to just come for afternoon tea, as their desserts and drinks were definitely more worthwhile than the mains (the tuna wasn’t fresh enough for the price while they could have been more generous with the oysters in the risotto) 😅 [𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞] The warm croffle was packed with flavour from the sweet strawberry ice cream, tangy strawberry syrup and cheese milk foam while we especially loved the crunchy berry bites sprinkled on the side 🍓 Bonus points for the pretty presentation 👍🏻 [𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬] Although placed under the ‘coffee’ category on the menu, we clarified with the waiter (𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘴) that the smooth matcha latte had no trace of coffee in it 😹 The creamy Belgian chocolate, one of their signature drinks, was more impressive though, as the ratio of semi-sweet cocoa and steamed milk was just right 🍫🥛 📍 Koen Shop 1-2, 1/F, 1001 King's Road, Quarry Bay (MTR exit A) #本地遊 #cafe #foodie #hongkong #打卡cafe
