Modern architecture meets coastal scenery

Today, taking advantage of the sunny weather, we rushed to the Kai Tak Sports Park before the opening of the National Games to check in at the Kai Tak Main Stadium. 😅 The most convenient way to get to the Kai Tak Sports Park is definitely by MTR, although there are other public transport options like buses that can take you directly to the vicinity of the main stadium. 😊 We took the MTR to Kai Tak Station, and after walking for a few minutes, we arrived at the Kai Tak Main Stadium. Along the way, there are signs indicating the direction to the Kai Tak Sports Park, so it’s not difficult to find the correct route. Plus, you can spot the iconic architectural landmark, the purple semi-circular structure, from afar. 😀 So, there’s no way to get lost or miss it. 🥹 The Kai Tak Main Stadium is surrounded by modern architecture and is connected to a chain of large hotels, providing very convenient accommodation for athletes participating in major competitions or spectators watching the games. Due to the National Games, we couldn’t enter the hotel today as it has been reserved for the athletes. From the main stadium to the Sports and Arts Arena, the distance isn’t far. However, we chose to walk around the main stadium, taking photos and enjoying the view before heading to the arena. The sports park feels quite large, and we were a bit tired by the time we reached the Sports and Arts Arena. Surrounding the arena are three retail experience areas, which are much livelier. Apart from the ongoing competitions, there were many local residents and tourists like us strolling, checking in, and enjoying the area. Inside the experience centers, there are sports goods, cosmetics, retail chain stores, and many National Games-themed photo spots, souvenirs, and merchandise for sale. Of course, there are also plenty of food outlets for visitors to enjoy meals and take a break. The park also offers many family-friendly public spaces with activities like rope nets and climbing facilities. Kai Tak Sports Park is truly a place suitable for all ages and a great spot for family fun and sightseeing. 👍
