Lingshan Village is beautiful but sparsely populated, hidden deep in the mountains

Location: Lingshan Village, Chengkan Town, Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province This is a historical village with over a thousand years of history. It is a brother village to Chengkan Village, both under the jurisdiction of Chengkan Town, and one of the settlements of the Fang family in Huizhou. There are more than forty existing ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a simple and elegant style. The village is built against the mountain and lives by the water. Upon arriving at the village, there is a water mouth where the villagers have built a Tianzun Pavilion and Wenchang Pavilion. Across the water mouth is a towering Hanyuan Archway, standing directly at the entrance of the village. The archway was built in the sixth year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty. The beam is titled 'Hanyuan', meaning a place where literati gather, and the rest of the text is no longer verifiable. Walking through the ancient Hanyuan Archway and stepping on the coarse granite slab road, the ancient houses left over from the Ming and Qing Dynasties slowly come into view. The village still preserves the slogans of the radical era and the marks of the production team from the last century, as if forgotten by time and about to be dissolved in time. The village hidden in the mountains, listening to the sound of insects and birds, always gives people a sense of being independent from the world and a sense of tranquility that does not involve disputes. It is interesting to see it in contrast with the surrounding lush bamboo and the mottled pink walls and black tiles.
