Before the Tang Dynasty, it was called "Chiling" because of its red soil. It is a natural boundary between the inland and outland basins of Qinghai Province, dividing the farming civilization and the nomadic civilization, and is known as the "Screen of the West Sea" and the "Gateway to the Grassland." 📌Tour Route and Attractions Ancient Road Museum: Located in front of the prayer flags on the right, the museum exhibits hundreds of ancient artifacts, including relics from the glorious years of the Tang-Tibetan Ancient Road. Prayer Flags: The prayer flags on Mount Riyue are spectacular when the wind blows, making them perfect for photos. It is recommended to take photos under the prayer flags, avoiding the crowds, to capture a dreamy effect. Princess Wencheng Temple: A place to commemorate Princess Wencheng, with a statue of Princess Wencheng and prayer wheels inside. Sun and Moon Pavilion: Legend has it that Princess Wencheng broke a precious mirror here, which turned into the Sun and Moon Pavilion, guarding this place. Lingquan: There is a mysterious Lingquan on Mount Riyue, and it is said that drinking this spring water can cure diseases and prolong life. ❤️Best Time to Visit Mount Riyue is suitable for all seasons, but July and August are the most beautiful times, with lush grasslands and pleasant weather. ❗️❗️❗️Notes Altitude: Mount Riyue is about 3,500 meters above sea level. Do not exercise vigorously on the mountain to avoid altitude sickness. Weather: The wind is strong at the top of the mountain in bad weather, so it is recommended to wear thick clothes. Sun Protection: The UV rays are strong on sunny days, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun.
