Inside the Mongolian yurts of Dahaicao Mountain, many local villagers run various snack stalls, offering fresh lamb skewers, lamb chops, as well as potatoes and corn roasted with cow dung as fuel, and a variety of special grain cakes and pancakes. ① Lamb skewers are 3 yuan each, and the aroma from the charcoal grilling combined with the unique chili makes the skewers very tender and juicy, without any mutton smell. 1. Lamb chops are 25 yuan each, taking a bit longer to grill, the meat is firm but not dry, and eating the chops with your hands is a truly hearty experience. 2. Potatoes, roasted with cow dung as fuel, is a first for me, but they turn out to be very delicious, without the need for any seasoning, the natural flavor of the potatoes is also impressive. ④ Various kinds of grain cakes and pancakes, it all depends on personal preference. We bought two kinds of pancakes, and the elderly village lady helped to warm them up, wrapping the lamb skewers in the pancakes, simply satisfying! PS: ✅ Staying near Huize Ancient Town, it takes about an hour to drive to Dahaicao Mountain, with many winding roads, so pay attention to driving safety. ✅ The higher you go up the mountain, the wider the view becomes, and the last small stretch of road before reaching the mountain is very beautiful, overlooking a large expanse of grassland and mountains, perfect for taking photos and checking in. ✅ Dahaicao Mountain has a dedicated parking lot, which is quite convenient, but note that the wind is strong on the mountain and the climate is variable, so be sure to bring a coat! ✅ There are very few toilets at the scenic spot, it is recommended to take care of your needs at the parking lot before heading to the various attractions. ✅ Huize Ancient Town The entire Huize Ancient Town is not big, not overly commercialized, and the architecture has retained its original appearance. In the morning, go to the ancient town for a bowl of local special thin bean powder with fried dough sticks, savory and warming to the stomach. Various small shops in the ancient town open one after another, and the elderly in the roadside teahouses are lively discussing daily life, lazy cats bask in the sun on the steps, and strolling leisurely on the old stone roads, you can feel the historical traces of Huize Ancient Town.
