Xuankong Temple: An Ancient Temple on a Cliff

⭐Travel back in time to the Northern Wei Dynasty, when the wind blew through the verdant shadows of Mount Heng, embedding the world-famous Xuankong Temple into the cliff face. Like a celestial pavilion floating in the clouds, it stands in the void, alone and serene in the torrent of time. ⭐Xuankong Temple is located at the foot of Mount Heng, in the southeastern suburbs of Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province. Originally named Xuankong Temple, the temple's architecture is very distinctive, with a wooden frame structure based on half-inserted beams and hidden rock supports. From a distance, it looks like it is suspended on a cliff. It has six palaces and more than 40 pavilions and halls, and is a temple that combines the three religions of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. ⭐In the Hall of the Three Religions, statues of Sakyamuni, Laozi, and Confucius share the same hall, reflecting the idea of the convergence of the three religions.
