Liji Temple

One of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasty, Liji Temple was first built in the Yuanjia period of the Southern Song Dynasty (425 AD) and was originally named Huiming Temple. It was destroyed by war at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. In the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty (1431), the monk Nanxuan rebuilt it and renamed it Liji Temple. A poem from the Qing Dynasty reads: The cloud forest is moist and the white clouds are fat, and I enter the temple in the evening glow; Where is the evening bell looking for the treasure raft, and I come to the sparse stone to knock on the firewood door. The wind is clear and the ancient temple is a thousand years old, and the moon is cold and the empty room is surrounded by bamboo; Looking back at the small bridge and the flowing water, the willows around the stream are dependent on each other.
