Iceland

Iceland provides an experience like no other - for three days, I felt like I was wandering a different planet. I rented a car and drove the Golden Circle - the coastline is beautiful and wild (never seen such dramatic waves), stumbled across a glacier, saw several waterfalls, and took a hike to the plane wreckage of a US navy plane from 1973 (nobody casualties thankfully). I also spent some time in the capital of Reykjavík and explored some of the city. I definitely plan on returning and taking a solid two weeks to drive around the entire perimeter of the island because the scenery is just unforgettable. Flights to Iceland are cheap, but everything on the island is very expensive, so it is best to find a group to go along for the ride and split the costs. #solotravel #iceland #reykjavik
