Nagoya Inuyama Castle Half-Day Tour on Day 6

On the penultimate day of our leisurely trip to Japan, we woke up naturally and left at 11 AM. Since it's Monday, both the aquarium and Toyota Museum are closed, and the weather was great, so we decided to visit Inuyama Castle. After getting off at Meitetsu Inuyama Station, we followed the map to the main street, which is similar to Kyoto's Kiyomizu-dera commercial alley. There are kimono rentals, snacks, and small goods, but it's less crowded than Kyoto, making it a pleasant place to stroll and take photos. The goldfish bubble jelly costs 500 yen and looks great in photos, but it's too sweet. Continuing towards Inuyama Castle, you'll see the Jingang Shrine, Sanko Inari Shrine, and Sarutahiko Shrine. The little fox shrine is filled with pink hearts, clearly a place for seeking romance. The weather makes everything look beautiful in photos. Inuyama Castle is open for entry and climbing! The view from the top of the main keep is nice, but it's not friendly for those afraid of heights. The railing is low, the platform is narrow, and it's mainly wooden, creaking as you walk and sloping downwards. If there's a heavy person next to you, it can be nerve-wracking. I only walked halfway before retreating. After leaving Inuyama Castle, we chose to walk along the river to Inuyama Yuen Station and took the train back. The weather is crucial for Inuyama Yuen; choose a good day and avoid weekends for a pleasant experience.
