Bai Family Old House, Xinmin Village, Zhejiang

Bai Family Old House was built during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of about 300 square meters and is laid out in a "U" shape. The main entrance is a stone door frame, with a courtyard in the middle, two-story brick and wood wing rooms on both sides, and a corridor in the middle. It has a history of more than 100 years. There are two ancient trees in the courtyard, one of which is a camellia tree that is more than 140 years old and blooms every March. The other is an eucommia tree that is more than 50 years old, and its bark can be used as medicine. On the south side of the old house is the village history exhibition room, and the entire second floor on the north side is a VR visual scene experience center, which displays the life scenes of the old house in the past. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Jiaxing City.
