Sanbu Liangpan Bridge in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province

Sanbu Liangpan Bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty and is composed of Juxiu Bridge and Changfeng Bridge. Juxiu Bridge runs north-south, while Changfeng Bridge runs east-west. Juxiu Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge with a total length of 16.21 meters, a width of 2.27 meters, a span of 6 meters, and a height of 3.61 meters. There are stone railings on both sides of the bridge, and 11 and 10 stone steps on the north and south sides, respectively. The arch of the bridge is inscribed with "Juxiu Bridge", and the east and west sides are inscribed with couplets: "The source of the Meihua River is cut off, and the Zen staff sand is divided into embankments" and "The shadow of the waves reflects the eyes of the double dragon well, and the source of the river leads to the spring of the mountain". The north and south slopes are trumpet-shaped, with the north slope connecting to the east slope of Changfeng Bridge and the south slope connecting to the road along the riverbank. Changfeng Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge with a total length of 14.8 meters, a width of 2.53 meters, a span of 5.2 meters, and a height of 4.15 meters. There are 8 and 11 stone steps on the east and west sides, respectively, and no stone railings on the bridge deck. The arch of the bridge is inscribed with "Changfeng Bridge", and the south side is inscribed with a couplet: "Riding a horse, don't boast about the guests who write on the pillars, and build a bridge to help the river". The east and west slopes are parallel, with the east slope connecting to the north slope of Juxiu Bridge and the west slope connecting to the road along the riverbank. Sanbu Liangpan Bridge is an important historical building in Fengqiao Town, with a unique shape, solid structure, good preservation, exquisite craftsmanship, and high historical and artistic value. In 2017, it was announced as the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
