Jinglan Starlight Hotel Peacock City (Gaozhuang Starlight Night Market) is located in the landmark building of Peacock City, facing the Lancang River to the south, with a great view. The unique exterior design stands out on the narrow streets of Xishuangbanna. We were upgraded to a room that looked to be about 100 square meters. The decor is fresh, bright, and comfortable. The bathtub is large, and the hotel provides a bath set, so you can enjoy a nice soak! The only downside is that it's too far from the bathroom, which is not very convenient. The room is very clean, and the bedding and towels are very nice. The staff are friendly and polite, and very professional. The surrounding environment is average, as the infrastructure in the city is relatively backward, and the streets are narrow and noisy. However, it's very convenient for dining and shopping. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Lancang River. It's about 1 km to the Starlight Night Market. The rooftop pool is a bonus, although there are only two lanes, but there aren't many people, and it's unique compared to other hotels in the area. The most important thing is that there is a parking lot! This is a rare find in the city. Now is the peak tourist season, and it's hard to find a hotel with better value for money than this one for over 500!
