Take bus K901 from Quanzhou Ancient City for about 1 hour, then follow the navigation through the wilderness to the unique 4A scenic spot "Wulin Traditional Village". In the Minnan-style residential buildings, there are also Nanyang-style Fanzi buildings, as well as modern Gothic and Roman-style old Western-style buildings. Chaodong Building, Gun Building, Delong Building, etc. Most of these buildings were designed by foreign designers, using modern building techniques such as reinforced concrete, and cleverly combining Minnan characteristics with exotic styles. In the late Qing Dynasty, some people in Wulin began to live overseas. In that poor and turbulent era, it was not easy to make a living across the ocean. When the Minnan people first arrived in Nanyang, they stood firm and earned their first pot of gold with their spirit of daring to win. Since the 1920s, it has become a trend for overseas Chinese in Wulin to return to their hometowns to "build big houses". They have successively built Minnan red brick houses, modern Gothic, Roman-style Western-style buildings, Fanzi buildings, and other buildings. At present, there are only 1,500 people here, but more than 10,000 overseas Chinese live abroad. Every Minnan ancient house, Fanzi building, and Western-style building has a story of an overseas Chinese who is diligent and loves his hometown. "Wulin Traditional Village" is located in the southwest of Xintang Street, Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, backed by Shigu Mountain and facing Wuan Creek, covering an area of about 1,000 mu. It is known as the "Overseas Chinese Architecture Museum" and is a typical and complete Minnan traditional village, open to the public for free.
