Guangxi Jinxiu Yao Museum.

Jinxiu Yao Museum is located on the east side of the county. It was established in 1991 and officially opened to the public in November 1992. The Yao Museum was expanded and renovated in 2002 and 2012. It covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters, with a building area of 4,700 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 2,200 square meters. It is a Yao-style residential building. The museum name was inscribed by Mr. Fei Xiaotong, a famous sociologist in China and former vice chairman of the National People's Congress. It is the first Yao Museum in China. The Yao Museum currently has more than 4,000 collections, including 2 national first-class cultural relics, 22 national second-class cultural relics, and 155 national third-class cultural relics. The collections in the museum have strong ethnic characteristics, especially the unique Yao costumes. There are more than 300 sets of Yao costumes collected from all over the country and abroad. It is the museum with the largest number and the most complete types of Yao costumes in China. At present, the Yao Museum has set up functional exhibition halls such as World Yao, Chinese Yao, and Jinxiu Yao. The exhibition is divided into nine parts: the preface hall, Yao origin, Yao mountain home, Yao embroidery, Yao charm, Han relics, Yao medicine, Yao medicine, Shihpai culture, and Yao hometown. The entire display and exhibition is mainly based on Yao themes, becoming a microcosm of Yao society and an important window for Jinxiu to display Yao culture. The visit takes about 40 minutes.
