Qicang Valley Hiking, Jiuzhaigou's Back Garden

Qicang Valley is next to Jiuzhaigou, and the famous hiking route "7 through 9" refers to the continuous hiking through these two valleys (the "7 through 9" route is difficult and involves policy factors, so be cautious when going there). There are currently two ways to hike Qicang Valley: One is the long route, which does not retrace its steps after visiting Hongxing Haizi; the other is the short route, which only covers two-thirds of the long route, either skipping the Changhaizi section of Kakagou or the Feicui Haizi section of Changgou Village, and exiting the mountain directly from Awengou in the middle. Since you're here, if possible, we recommend the long route to see all the Haizi. The long route is acceptable in terms of intensity (about 50+ km in total, with a cumulative ascent of 2,000+ m), because the days are divided, and you don't walk much each day. It's also a good choice for a first experience of a high-altitude camping long route.
