Jiyuan City. Jidi Temple. Located on Jidi Street in Jiyuan City, it was first built in the second year of Sui Kaihuang (582 AD) and was built by the court for the worship of one of the "Four Du" gods, the Jishui God. Facing north and south, the overall layout is in the shape of a "Jia", also said to be in the shape of a "turtle", meaning the golden turtle exploring the sea; the main buildings are arranged on three vertical axes, with Jidi Temple in the front, Beihai Shrine in the back, Yuxiangyuan in the east, and Tianqing Palace in the west, forming a pattern with Jidi as the main, extending to Beihai, the unity of heaven and man, and the simultaneous worship of the Four Du, it is the place where the courts of the past dynasties worshiped the water god; the total area is 86,255 square meters, there are 72 existing ancient buildings, covering an area of over 100,000 square meters, it is one of the largest existing ancient architectural complexes in Henan Province.
