The inspiring Apartheid Museum in Johannesbur

I'm usually in an out of a museum in under an hour, but the Apartment Museum in Johannesburg was so moving and inspiring I could have stayed for a day. Openend in 2001, this place is huge, and shows you all about the struggles of apartheid, with a focus on the life of the late Nelson Mandela. There are hundreds of artifacts from that time period, as well as photographs and videos. Though you may be able to visit on your own if you have access to a car, it's also easy enough to get to with an organized tour.
