Wat Phra Borommathat Nakhon Chum, also known as Wat Phra Borommathat Jediyaram, is an ancient temple that dates back to the Sukhothai era, about 600 years ago. Previously, this area was known as Nakhon Chum, and the temple served as the royal monastery for the city of Nakhon Chum. Historical records also indicate that King Lithai of the Sukhothai dynasty graciously ordered the construction of the Phra Borommathat Chedi to enshrine the Buddha's relics from Sri Lanka and planted a Sri Maha Bodhi tree from Lanka as well.
