Having visited it twice, I do beg to differ as Kanazawa does have plenty to offer which is distinct. It is home to some of the finest contemporary art museums in Japan, a lively eating and drinking culture is very evident. The exquisite Kaisei cuisine is an experience in itself. The streets still carry the charm of Edo era aura, this mid-size town is a wonderful urban as well as offbeat option. Especially, for those looking to get a feel of both historical and modern sites of a locally famous but internationally still less known Japanese cities.
