The Tagong Grassland is beautiful, but don't enter the scenic area!

I've seen people say that the Tagong Grassland is not worth the CNY 20 entrance fee. But I think the Tagong Grassland is worth visiting! The best parts are free and outside the scenic area! Gunong Village This village offers a great view of the Yala Snow Mountain. The wide grassland is perfect for setting up a tent and enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the scenery. Self-driving: Gunong Village, Tagong Town, Kangding City Accommodation: You can camp, stay in a nearby guesthouse (book in advance), or head to Xinduqiao for more options. Self-driving: The road is a mix of highway and asphalt, and is suitable for sedans. Tickets: Parking/cleaning fee of CNY 20 (per car) Best time to visit: June to August, when the grassland is green and full of colorful flowers. While you're at the Tagong Grassland, don't miss the nearby attractions in Kangding. Moon Lake A hidden gem in the mountains. The green meadows and winding streams create a fairyland-like scenery. It's a great place for camping and picnicking. The terrain is flat, making it suitable for the elderly and children. The lush greenery and fresh air are healing. Jiagenba A surprising place this summer, with snow-capped mountains, meadows, flower fields, and streams. Gongga Sky Garden Don't miss this sky garden if you want to see the Altay scenery. You can also see the Gongga Snow Mountain, the King of Sichuan Mountains. If you're lucky, you can see the golden mountain at sunset. Gongga is one of the most beautiful snow-capped mountains in western Sichuan, comparable to Yangmaiyong in Daocheng. Yala Snow Mountain Viewing Platform This is the best place to see the Yala Snow Mountain. The snow is usually thicker, and the foreground is a lush forest. The view is more delicate than the Yuzixi view.
