We were told to bring a flashlight 🔦 and to take the highway to Kangding instead of Luding, otherwise it would be a long detour. We randomly chose a hot spring this time, and it turned out to be a great experience! 🏊‍♀️ The hot spring is open 24 hours ⏰️, so you can go anytime. There are several hot spring pools, including a large pool similar to a swimming pool and several small pools near the river. Although it is a semi-"wild" hot spring, the water in the pool is constantly changing, so it is still very clean. The pool faces the distant snow-capped mountains 🏔 and the nearby colorful forest and river 🍁. Soaking in the hot spring and enjoying the scenery is a real treat. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is run by a young man from Chongqing. The boiled yak meat is very authentic and the portions are large (a rare Chinese meal on the road to western Sichuan that didn't disappoint). You can also pay 50 to have the hotel owner make a large pot of butter tea, which is a huge pot. Two people drank it vigorously and only drank less than half of it, and finally shared it with another family there. However, I have to mention that there are very few elevators nearby, so it can be difficult to carry a lot of luggage. On weekends, parking spaces at the entrance are tight, and you may need to move your car. But overall, it is still very cost-effective.
