Greet Inn: A New Industrial Retro Hotel in Kaohsiung Qianjin

It's a 5-minute walk to the metro, making transportation very convenient. The hotel's name is not very prominent for aesthetic design reasons. There are limited flat parking spaces on B2 and mechanical parking spaces on B3. There is no parking space on B1. The overall decor feels very new, with an industrial design base complemented by retro decor elements. The lobby features a high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows, making it very bright. The lobby is not large, with restrooms and two elevators on either side of the front desk (only one elevator goes to the underground parking). The second floor is the breakfast area (06:30-10:00) and the afternoon tea snack bar, which is open until 10 PM. In addition to coffee, juice, tea, cookies, and toast, there are also canned soft drinks available for free. The 15th floor has a gym, yoga room, and free-to-use washing and drying machines. The first impression of the room is bright and spacious, with a good amount of space provided by the hotel. On the right is a separate toilet, and on the left is a separate shower room with a bathtub. The sink is separate in the room, making it more convenient than hotels with combined bathroom facilities. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong, and the hot water temperature is sufficient. The towels are not very thick but are very clean. The toilet requires a strong press to flush properly; otherwise, it may not flush cleanly. The TV has cable channels and a smart TV function, but only YouTube is available. Netflix requires your own account. The bed is a standard double bed, which feels hard to sleep on, causing back pain in the morning. There is a small sofa area next to the bed with good natural light. The curtains also have good blackout properties. Each light in the room has an independent switch, located next to the sockets with small light switches. It took a while to find them at first. The room feels bright only when all the lights are on; otherwise, it feels dim. The large hairdryer has sufficient airflow and is very comfortable to use, which is a plus for female guests. Overall, the stay experience is good, but the most obvious drawback is the thin walls, leading to poor sound insulation. You can hear not only conversations in the corridor but also conversations and snoring from the adjacent rooms. In the middle of the night, there were even running noises from the ceiling on the 15th floor, and the hard bed support led to poor sleep quality. Another issue is the very challenging parking ramp, which tests driving skills.
