Nomadic Adventures: Exploring the Wonders of Central Mongolia

Central Mongolia is a place rich in culture and of course, it has breathtaking landscapes and steppes. Getting There - I went to Central Mongolia area with a local driver and tour guide part of my tour. Attractions - 1. Erdene Zuu Monastery This is the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. You can check out the unique architecture style of tibetian buddhist temples. There is a golden stupa outside the temple. 2. Karakorum This used to be the capital of Mongol empire in the 1200s. You can visit the museum here to learn about history of ancient Mongolia and Mongol empire. This is part of the World Heritage site of Orkhon valley. Accomodation - Part of the highlight is staying in the traditional Mongolian ger (yurt). Camping experience was one of a kind and very traditional. There are tourist camps here with toilets.
