The Orchid Garden is located opposite the KL Bird Park within the scenic KL Lake Gardens. Coming to this spot, it just take approximately 10 minutes drive from the hectic city centre!!!
Not a person who knows flowers very well so i am not able to differentiate the types and the species. However, pictures speak thousand words, plenties of orchids’s here and it has purple, white and mix colours making it a beautiful garden to explore with.
Highly recommend to visit in the evening as you will need to do hiking a little bit from the parking lot or the weather is crazily hot.
Kuala Lumpur Petaling Street: A Shopping Paradise with a Strong Chinese Flair
Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street is a famous shopping street known for its rich Chinese atmosphere, making you feel like you've stepped into a living traditional Chinese street. Red lanterns and ornate Chinese knots hang on both sides of the street, and the air is filled with the aroma of various snacks. The architectural style here also retains a strong Chinese character, giving you a sense of traveling back in time to the last century. Petaling Street is not only a shopping haven for tourists but also an important symbol of local Chinese culture.
👍Kim Lian Kee: A Symbol of Traditional Flavors
When you come to Petaling Street, you must mention the well-known "Kim Lian Kee" roast meat shop. This long-established store has a long history and is famous for its roast duck and char siu. During meal times, there is always a long queue. The roast meat at Kim Lian Kee is not only tender and crispy but also has a unique sauce that leaves a lasting impression. Many foodies even come to Petaling Street specifically to taste this authentic traditional delicacy. Whether for lunch or dinner, Kim Lian Kee's roast meat will leave you satisfied.
🔔Fake Goods Vendors: A Call to Support Genuine Products
Petaling Street is also known for selling "fake goods." Vendors here often display various counterfeit brand-name products, from bags and watches to clothing and shoes. Although the prices are cheap and the quality is not too bad, it is important to remind everyone that supporting genuine products promotes a healthy consumer environment and fair market competition. Buying genuine products not only respects brand creativity but also ensures the quality of your purchases.
🚩Nearby Central Market: A Perfect Blend of Art and Shopping
Besides Petaling Street, the nearby Central Market is also a must-visit shopping destination. It is filled with local Malaysian handicrafts and artworks, from wood carvings and fabrics to handmade jewelry. The atmosphere at Central Market is completely different from Petaling Street, being more elegant and artistic. When you're tired of shopping, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at a small café here and leisurely appreciate the artworks. If you want to bring back special souvenirs for family or friends, this is definitely your best choice.
📍Conclusion
Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street, whether it's the Chinese-style street scene, the delicious roast meat at Kim Lian Kee, or the challenging shopping experience, is a highlight that tourists should not miss. At the same time, the nearby Central Market is also a great place full of artistic atmosphere. Coming here, you can not only experience the blend of diverse cultures in Kuala Lumpur but also discover the charm of Malaysian Chinese culture. Don't forget to include Petaling Street in your itinerary for your next trip; the surprises here will far exceed your expectations!

Penang Road Food Street: A Cultural and Visual Feast for the Senses
Penang, known as a food paradise, has Penang Road as one of its must-visit food streets for tourists. On this trip, I was excited to taste the most representative local delicacies—Cendol, Assam Laksa, Oyster Omelette, and Roti. The experience was not just about the food, but also about Penang's rich culture and stories.
🎉 A Visual and Taste Sensation—The Famous Cendol
Walking into Penang Road, the famous Cendol stall immediately catches the eye, with a mural beside it that attracts countless tourists to take photos. The mural depicts a group of local children enjoying Cendol under a tree, as if time has stopped in that carefree childhood moment. This painting not only adds color to the street but also gives this refreshing dessert more cultural significance.
Cendol itself is one of the must-try foods in Penang. The cool coconut milk, combined with green jelly noodles, red beans, and palm sugar syrup, perfectly blends together. Each bite lets you feel the warmth and leisure of Penang. This bowl of dessert is undoubtedly a treat in the hot weather, and that cool, sweet moment instantly dispels the fatigue of the journey.
👍 A Burst of Flavors—Assam Laksa
If Cendol represents coolness, then Assam Laksa is a storm of sour and spicy flavors. Standing in front of the stall, the rich aroma of fish soup fills the air, instantly whetting the appetite. The soul of Assam Laksa lies in its rich fish soup, mixed with the sourness of tamarind and various spices, making it sour, spicy, and delicious without being greasy.
This bowl of Laksa is not only rich in flavor but also in ingredients: thick rice noodles, cucumber strips, onions, mint leaves, etc., all combined with the soup base, creating a multi-layered and impactful taste. Each bite feels like a conversation with your taste buds, with the intertwining of sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors telling the story of Penang's multicultural fusion.
🚩 The Ultimate Seafood Delight—Oyster Omelette
The Oyster Omelette stall on Penang Road is always crowded, with the sizzling sound of the frying pan mixed with the aroma of oysters and garlic, making mouths water. The vendor skillfully fries fresh oysters with egg batter until golden brown, with a crispy exterior while retaining the oysters' tender and juicy interior.
Each bite of the Oyster Omelette is filled with the fresh taste of seafood, and when paired with a special garlic chili sauce, the flavor instantly elevates. Tasting it feels like the taste of the sea is dancing on your tongue, making it irresistible. This is not just a snack but the essence of the sea's bounty.
📍 Simple Yet Nostalgic—The Warmth of Roti
Finally, I tasted the Roti, which can be found everywhere on the streets of Penang. This seemingly simple pancake is one of Penang's most ordinary yet nostalgic delicacies. The dough is fried until slightly charred, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, then spread with a layer of butter or served with curry. Simple yet full of warmth. Each bite of Roti carries the taste of home, evoking memories of those warm times.
Penang's Roti is not just a simple food; it is a reflection of Penang's unique lifestyle. Whether at a morning street stall or a night roadside shop, Roti always accompanies the local pace of life.
🚩 Conclusion
The food on Penang Road is not just a treat for the taste buds but also a profound experience of Penang's culture. Each dish carries rich history and stories, making you feel immersed in this vibrant city. Whether you are a food lover or a cultural explorer, Penang Road's food street will leave you with unforgettable memories and emotions.

Unwinding at Kwai Chai Hong: My Favorite Night Out in Kuala Lumpur
#nightlife #100waysoftravel #kualalumpur
My favorite nightlife experience in Kuala Lumpur is heading to Kwai Chai Hong with my friends. The atmosphere there is lively yet relaxed, and we love exploring the area’s unique and vibrant bars. We usually pick a cozy spot, order our drinks, and settle in for the evening. The music adds the perfect backdrop to our night as we chat, laugh, and enjoy the atmosphere of these bars, each with its own character and charm. It’s the ideal place to unwind and spend the entire night in great company.

KIDS' PARADISE : RENAISSANCE HOTEL KL
#100waysoftravel
During the school holidays recently, we brought our kids for a short stay at Renaissance Hotel KL.
Major highlight : the newly opened kids' wet play area, offering endless fun and entertainment with the exciting bucket splash feature.
The kids had a fantastic time splashing around, running through the water jets and eagerly waiting for the giant bucket to tip over, showering everyone with water.
The only ownside was that the area closed a bit early at 7pm, which cut the fun short.
Despite that, the kids had a total blast and lots of fun.

Practical 3-day, 2-night Kuala Lumpur travel guide.
I just got back from Malaysia and wanted to share my 3-day, 2-night travel guide for Kuala Lumpur.
1. Transportation: I flew from Shenzhen to Kuala Lumpur on Shenzhen Airlines, and also flew back on Shenzhen Airlines (from Penang to Shenzhen). The flight was about 4 hours and the free baggage allowance was 23 kg.
2. Internet: I have a China Mobile SIM card and activated international roaming. I bought a data package before I left (you can buy it on the China Mobile mini program or Alipay). It was CNY 28 per day for 3 GB of data. You can buy as many days as you need. It's buy one get one free, so it's more cost-effective if two people buy it together. We bought 6 days for two people, so it was CNY 64 per person. Incoming and outgoing calls were CNY 1 per minute.
Alternatively, you can buy a SIM card when you arrive in Kuala Lumpur. After you collect your luggage at the airport, turn left and there are a few kiosks selling SIM cards. The prices are similar. One of my friends bought a 65 GB data card for MYR 49. It was valid for 30 days and they helped us install the card.
3. Accommodation: We stayed in downtown Kuala Lumpur, near the Petronas Twin Towers. The location was convenient and there were shopping malls nearby. We stayed in two hotels (InterContinental and Wyndham Suites) and both were very good. The service was good, the bedding was comfortable, the rooms were spacious and bright, and they both had swimming pools and gyms. Breakfast was included and the staff spoke Chinese.
4. Attractions: We visited the Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Tower, Pink Mosque, Central Market, Kwai Chai Hong, Petaling Street, Durian Market, etc. We also took the monorail. We mainly walked or took taxis. Remember to download the Grab taxi app and Google Maps.
5. Dining: There are many Chinese people in Kuala Lumpur, so there are many Chinese restaurants. You don't have to worry about food. However, the local food is a bit sweet, so people from some provinces might not be used to it. You can also try Malaysian food.
In addition, if you like durian, you're in luck in Kuala Lumpur. The durian here is cheap and delicious. You can really eat your fill. For example, the price of Musang King is about MYR 40-80 per kg. Some varieties are only about MYR 10 per kg.
6. Shopping: Our hotel was near Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. You can also go shopping at the duty-free shops at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The prices are better than in China.
7. Lastly: Remember to bring a light jacket when you travel to Malaysia, because the air conditioning in the malls, airports, and all indoor areas is very low.

Located in the bustling bar street of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, this is a restaurant that you can just sitting outside to watch a huge bunches of people passing by all the time as the connected bridge to KLCC is just few steps away.
Basically, it is serving Mediterranean foods but im not really a fan of it so just here to have a drink and enjoy the snacks while chit-chatting non-stop with my hubby. Entire environment is ok, outdoor seating is available but no ceiling fan for it so it’s gonna be hot a bit, indoor seating is not that hot but a little bit lack of design, however, the bar seating is nice where you can drink and enjoy the mixologist making drinks.

Finding Tranquility: A Serene Escape at KLCC Park in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur

My visit to KLCC Park was a pleasant surprise, as it turned out to be a peaceful and beautiful oasis amidst the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.
Despite being located right next to the iconic Petronas Towers, the park was remarkably quiet, offering a serene escape from the urban hustle. I noticed many locals jogging along the well-maintained paths, making it a popular spot for fitness enthusiasts
. I particularly enjoyed sitting under the shade of a large tree, watching the stunning fountain in the center of the park. The gentle sound of the water and the cool breeze made it a perfect moment of relaxation, allowing me to fully appreciate the tranquility of this green space.

Back then, this has been my favourite shops while i travel to Dontoburi, Osaka as this is a largest discount store with a yellow Ferris Wheel as the design of the shop.
Now, without travelling overseas, it is now available in Malaysia and the branch that located in Bukit Bintang is opening 24/7 daily to satiate everyone’s need regardless what time it is.
In term of the price, it is much higher than Japan but considering all of the items are imported, it is still within the reasonable range.
