4 Days in KL

KL, just an hour away by plane, is full of good food even in the tourist traps. We dined at the Michelin-starred Beta restaurant, at the tourist trap Jalan Alor, enjoyed light bites in the hotel lounge, lunched at a pizzeria and had coffee in well known cafes. The varied food experiences delighted our senses and the people watching was great too. Nightlife is abundant - we enjoyed ourselves counting down to the New Year at a countdown party where we drank, danced and popped confetti. After that, you must have some loklok to complete the night. The iconic Twin Towers make a beautiful sight when lit up, whether shining brightly in white, or when different colours are lit up. The best views are from KLCC as well as W Hotel's Wet Deck, where you can enjoy cocktails at reasonable prices. The Chinatown area has whole streets dedicated to food and drink. We were spoilt for choice when figuring out where to had lunch, and settle down Good News, a pizzeria that serves really good beer battered chicken tenders and a salad that is so delicious we ordered more. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt, which offers an outstanding view of the Twin Towers from some rooms. It is really relaxing when in the huge bathtub overlooking the Towers. It also has a 24hr gym and spa that's rejuvenating after a hard day's sightseeing. Plus, it's an easy place to gather friends different areas of Malaysia and even other countries for a good time together. #kualalumpur
