First Parkroyal Collection in Malaysia

The first Parkroyal Collection just opened on the 1st of June 2022 after an extensive renovation. The building used to be Parkroyal Hotel. They are trying to replicate the Parkroyal Collection Pickering Singapore by planting plants on the building facades. I was excited to see the ‘transformation’ after being closed for more than 2 years for major renovations. Booked their opening rate of MYR200++ and ended paying MYR18.00 thanks to free USD50 ‘Discovery Dollars’. Pro: Nice view, overlooking PNB 118 tower, KL Tower & TRX Tower. It is a complete brand new interior and facilities. Con : Being in an old building, nothing much they can do. very small room. Probably the smallest among 5-star hotel in KL. no guarantee for an upgrade even if you are Discovery Platinum/Diamond Tips : Don’t get excited to try something new. Otherwise you will be pissed off like me. If you are looking to stay, better opt for a later date since they are not ready to welcome big crowds. Only few floors opened and the rest still work in progress. No suites available yet. Facilities are not 100% ready.
