Sunlight Rock

Sunlight Rock, commonly known as 'Huangyan', is located at the southern part of the central area of Gulangyu Island, at the peak of Longtou Mountain, with an altitude of 92.68 meters, making it the highest peak of Gulangyu Island. The characteristic of Sunlight Rock is its 360-degree panoramic view without any blind spots. One can face the eastern part of the main island of Xiamen to watch the sunrise over Xiamen, or look towards the sea to view the sunset over Gulangyu Island. Especially during sunrise, the eastern horizon is lined with the scattered high-rise buildings of Xiamen's main urban area, including the two towering 'fairy fingers' of the Xiamen International Center, as well as the layered villas on Gulangyu Island, with flocks of pigeons occasionally flying across the sky.
