Priene - Kusadasi, Turkey

Priene ancient town is located 35 kilometers away from Kusadasi. It retains ruins which include several columns of the Temple of Athena, much of the city wall, a well-preserved theater and a council chamber. Priene’s history dates back to 2000 BC. The ancient town itself is located on a hillside, which means that in order to see it, visitors will need to climb the stairs. But since this hill is full of gorgeous pines, it makes walking quite pleasant. Sightseeing took us about an hour and a half. The ruins are open to visitors every day, 08:00-18.30, in winter - until 17:30. #historicplaces #ruins #turkey
