Meiji Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken. The shrine does not contain the emperor's grave, which is located at Fushimi-momoyama, south of Kyoto. Opening hours: Meiji Jingu is open every day throughout the year with free of charge. Meiji Jingu opens with sunrise and closes with sunset. Please note that some places and facilities inside may have shorter opening hours (mainly 9:00 am to 4:00 pm). Admission Fees: Entrance to Meiji Shrine is free but there is a small fee to visit the Meiji Jingu Gardens (500 yen) and Meiji Jingu Museum (1000 yen).
