Hanamikoji Street is lined with elegant buildings that exude an ancient charm, retaining the old-fashioned atmosphere of a teahouse district, attracting many tourists. Walking along the street feels like stepping back into the Edo period. The area around Tatsumi Bridge, which is the entrance to Hanamikoji Street, is a traditional building preservation area and is very popular. The Kamogawa Riverbank is not only a popular tourist spot but also a favorite place for locals to spend their leisure time. As night falls, Kamogawa becomes bustling with activity. We sat by the riverbank, daydreaming while listening to the gentle sound of the flowing water. Restaurants or teahouses along the Kamogawa River set up temporary terraces on the riverbed, where visitors can enjoy delicious food on tatami mats while taking in the river scenery.
